Majority of Americans Pay NO TAXES!

Taxes are all about the numbers. Tax rates, income brackets and what you may owe or get back as a refund from the I.R.S. An analysis by the Joint Committee on Taxation found that the majority of Americans get a free ride on the backs of the minority. The Committee found that only 49% of Americans in 2009 paid any taxes, 51% paid no taxes at all. The same report also pointed out that 30% actually made money, profited thanks to the tax code.

The Joint Committee said  the 2009 figures are not yet final, but the unofficial results are devastating enough. We are now a 'nanny state' where the minority pays for and takes care of all the governmental needs of the majority, and some of the minority actually make money off the tax code (i.e. Earned Income Credit).

The Joint Committee numbers are slightly higher than the recent report by the nonprofit Tax Policy Center that said around 45% of U.S. households will end up paying no taxes. Again, these studies look at income taxes, not other taxes such as FICA payroll taxes that go toward the Social Security and Medicare programs.

A Tax Fairness hearing has been requested by the Seante Finance committe to look into the distribution of tax benefits and the overall burden of the tax code to those who pay the taxes. In his opening remarks, Senate Finance Chair Max Baucus (D-Mont.) pointed out the perception by many taxpayers that loopholes and tax benefits exist mainly for the rich. This, he said, makes it difficult to achieve the goal to see a fairer and more equitable tax system.

Reconciling the tax loopholes so that everyone is satisfied, including the U.S. Treasury and the IRS, is no easy task. Senate Finance Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said in his opening statement, "How Washington politicians hope to determine this fair share in an even-handed way that does no harm to our economy and job creators remains a mystery to me." You sure can bet that Hatch and his colleagues will get lots of suggestions of how to solve the tax code problem as the debate continues.

Michael Moore:"bin laden executed,"&"He won."

Michael Moore is the biggest waste of an American citizen I think I have ever seen. To even suggest such a thing as "bin laden won" is ludicrous. Moore said “Common sense tells you [bin Laden] was executed. That was the plan all along. Just tell us that and quit treating us like children.” The thought in this quote keeps crossing my mind as well. It does appear we went in to kill bin Laden. And I hope we did intend to execute him and not bring him back to put on trial. I support the killing of bin Laden 100%! Moore seems to think bin Laden deserved his day in court he said " Look at the Nuremberg Trials. We didn’t just pop a bullet in the heads of the worst scum in history. We thought it was important to put them on trial and expose their evil. In a democracy we believe in a system of justice and we believe in a judicial system that gives people a day in court…and then we hung them." I ask why not just pop a bullet in their heads in the first place then? Moore claims that the Pakistani government held bin Laden at the location  (he refers to the compound as the Pakistani version of West Point) intentionally to “stop him [from] any more terror.”  Moore goes on to claim that bin Laden “[probably] f-ed up & started planning something.” Moore tweeted the following on the bin laden killing : “He may be dead, but in a way, he won. We gave up our rights. We passed a PatriotAct. We spent trillions on needless wars. Fear now rules us.” Apparently idiocy rules Michael Moore. Why does he hate America so much. The freest country in the world. The country that does the most good in the world and he hates it. Increased safety measures that secure American freedoms also apparently count for nothing. While it defies logic, in Moore’s moronic eyes bin Laden has been victorious. Why doesn't Moore just move to Venezuela and bunk with Chavez already?

Osama bin Laden a Coward

Sources involved in the operation that killed Osama bin Laden said the terrorist leader acted “scared” and “completely confused” in his final moments, “shoving his wife” at the Navy SEAL who ultimately shot him.

The information helps to clarify the conflicting reports about what truly happened during 40-minute raid on bin Laden’s  Pakistani compound. Sources who were part of the mission said bin Laden acted in a “cowardly manner” when confronted. Also bin Laden was unarmed, but he was standing near the door within reach of two weapons — an AK-47 and a Makarov handgun. Both are now in U.S. custody. The handgun is a 9mm semi-automatic Russian pistol, standard issue in the Russian military until 1991.

Another source said the first shot fired at bin Laden, when he poked his head out of his bedroom, missed. This detail was first revealed by Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., based on information he obtained during a classified briefing to members of Congress. Afterward, two different SEALs fired on bin Laden, one hitting his chest and one hitting his forehead.

President Obama, Vice President Biden, Sec. of State Clinton, Sec. of Defense Gates and others of the national security team monitor Sunday's raid for bin Laden. " A lot of people were holding their breath," said White house counter terrorism advisor John Brennan. This was truly a historic day for America. Along with the historic picture taken above. I am sure this will be viewed in decades to come as the day America got her most wanted. The day we got bin Laden. The day America exacted revenge on the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. I am reminded of a quote from President Reagan, it was in regards to the Libyan terrorist attack on a night club in Germany that killed some U.S. Marines, "They counted on us to be passive,.....They counted wrong." The last part of that quote he said very forcefully and determined. I think that quote applies here very well. They counted on getting away with the 9/11 attacks. They thought we were to impotent to retaliate effectively against them. Well in the words of President Reagan "They counted wrong!" And our retaliation was forceful and determined.  President Obama made a gutsy call to initiate this operation, but the credit for the death of bin Laden goes to the C.I.A. and the Navy Seal team that executed it brilliantly. I think President Reagan had some fore sight when it came to the terrorists. They mistakenly thought we were a fractured lazy and impotent country when it came to national defense. Well when it comes to defending America from foreign attacks and uniting together, this country is the best in the world. It was a great day for America Sunday. President Reagan had it right. When it comes to defending our nation we are not passive "they counted wrong!"

Let's be clear: OBAMA did NOT kill Osama bin Laden. An American soldier, who just a few weeks ago Obama was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found Osama bin Laden and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory! But Obama did give the orders to go in and take him out, so we have to acknowledge the part he played. This shows America's resolve does not fade over time. It may take a week, month, year or a decade but we will exact justice when justice is do. The last part of the pledge "with liberty and JUSTICE FOR ALL!" applies very well to yesterdays event.  Osama, yesterday you experienced some justice, American style. I want to thank all the American soldiers involved in the operation to kill bin Laden. I also want to thank all who have served to protect our country, our freedom, and freedom around the world. Osama bin Laden is dead, but al qaeda is not. Let us capitalize on this victory we achieved yesterday and double down our efforts to rid the world of the terrorist scum. A great victory for America yesterday. It might not be right to say, but revenge sure does feel good.

Osama bin Laden is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The U.S. Special forces in a raid into Pakistan Sunday killed Osama bin Laden. The U.S. has custody of his body. His death is confirmed. The mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks has been killed by the U.S. Military. Osama bin Laden is dead finally!!!! The U.S. never gives up. The U.S. today has brought justice to all the victims of bin Laden's attack on the U.S. on September 11, 2001. It has been almost ten years, but we finally got the cowardly murderer bin Laden. Bin Laden is Dead! On September 11, sources said, the evidence immediately pointed to bin Laden. Within days, those close to the investigation said they had their proof. Six days after the attack, President George W. Bush made it clear Osama bin Laden was the No. 1 suspect. "I want justice," Bush said. "There's an old poster out West that said, 'Wanted, dead or alive.'" Well President Bush you got your wish bin Laden is DEAD!

The President also said this shows that America can do anything it puts its mind to. This is a great symbolic victory for America in the war on terror. He said he was killed in a fire fight. President Obama authorized and ordered the mission to kill Bin Laden inside Pakistan this morning. He said the planning of this had begun in August of last year. It is reported that Bin Laden died from one bullet to the head. That sounds like it could have been execution style, if it was that is fine with me.

Sen. Manchin Joins other Senate Dem's in Backing Bill to Cap Govt. Spending

Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia said Tuesday he would back a bill that places strict caps on spending enforced by automatic cuts if those caps were breached. Top Senate Democrats oppose spending caps as too inflexible. Sen. Manchin's announcement could weaken the Dem's position in the coming negotiations over increasing the debt ceiling. Congressional Republicans and even some Democrats have said they will not vote to raise the debt ceiling unless it is tied to reforms in government spending. Manchin's support for the CAP Act, means supporters of the bill are one vote shy of a majority, according to the office of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri, who co-authored the bill with Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tennessee. The CAP Act is a "fiscal straitjacket" that would force Congress to reduce spending dramatically, according to Corker. Over the next ten years, it would reduce spending to no more that 20.6 percent of gross domestic product, down from the current level of 24.7 percent. If Congress did not stay under the cap, the executive branch would have "to make evenly distributed, simultaneous cuts throughout the federal budget to bring spending down to the pre-determined level," according to the bill. Only a vote by two-thirds majority of both the House and Senate could prevent the automatic cuts. The republicans need to keep this fight, over the debt ceiling and spending cuts, going as long as possible. The Democrats are slowly falling away from their leadership and siding with the Republicans on this issue. It seems you hear of another Dem switching sides on this issue every few days. Keep fighting the good fight conservatives.
