E.P.A. gives $25,000 to an Environmental Activist Group!

The Environmental Protection Agency gave $25,000 in taxpayer money to an environmental activist group! In 2009 a dozen environmental protesters caused a traffic jam in the middle of Chicago's financial sector. They sat down in a circle in the middle of the road to protest. They were later arrested. Some of this dozen were members of the Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO). Six months later this non law abiding group was awarded $25,000 from the EPA. It was called a environmental justice grant.  It was to be used  in a coalition with their partners to implement  areas of Climate Change Mitigation. After getting the grant, a half dozen activists from LVEJO and other groups were arrested after climbing the fence to a coal-fired power plant. The EPA gives them money knowing they protest illegally, then surprise after they get the money they continue breaking laws. Who was the genius in the EPA who thought this was a good idea? Was this protest at this coal-fired plant a coincidence? Or could it have been planned or encourage by someone higher up. Remember President Obama  spoke of bankrupting new coal-fired power plants. The Obama Administration’s first budget increased EPA funding to $10.3 billion, a whopping 36% over the preceding fiscal year. the EPA awarded or continues to have open more than 7,500 grants, totaling $3,847,160,250 to non-profit groups alone. This is not a good use of my tax money. This is depressing. No wonder we have a budget mess in Washington. When they are doling out money like crazy to far left, law breaking, environmental groups who just happen to be for bankrupting coal-fired plants. Just like the President is!
