Newt Gingrich on Sunday declared the house GOP plan to fix Medicare "right-wing social engineering." He then went on to say he still supports individual mandates in health care. Outraged Republicans erupted in unison, nearly everyone of them in the House voted for this. And of course Newt spent the next day parsing, qualifying, defending, backtracking and blaming the media for his statements. What I don't get is where has Newt Gingrich been the last two years. Isn't nearly unison opposition to Obamacare the ultimate conservative and Republican position right now? Are not all, at least I thought all, conservatives united in our position that the individual mandate in Obamacare is unconstitutional? Unbelievable is all I can say. It sounded like President Obama dressed up in a Newt Gingrich suit on Sunday. What would be the choice in November of 2012, if Gingrich got the nomination, they both would be for this massive socialistic albatross of a health care law? I do not know what happened to Gingrich he used to have his pulse, like no other, on conservative America. Now it seems like he has morphed into this liberal, socialist democrat. What happened Newt, what happened?
