There are various factions that make up the Libyan opposition: Royalists, defectors from the Qadhafi regime, members of the Libyan Armed Forces, the National Front for the Salvation of Libya (NFSL), the National Conference for the Libyan Opposition (NCLO) which acts as an umbrella organization.Rarely acknowledged by the mainstream media, Al-Jamaa al-Islamiyyah al-Muqatilah bi Libya, the Libya Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) is an integral part of the Libyan Opposition. The LIFG, which is part of al Qaeda, according to reports, is in the front lines of the armed insurrection. The LIFG is categorized by the UN Security Council as terrorists. In a cruel twist of irony The United States and the Allies are in violation of their own anti-terrorism laws and policies, while being simultaneously aligned with al Qaeda in the form of the LIFG in Libya and fighting a war against them elsewhere across the globe. There are even indications that the CIA and MI6 may have provided support to the LIFG in years past. The anti-terrorism policy of the US seriously needs to get a second and even a third look. We needed to do something to keep the innocent civilians from being slaughtered, but we are now in the middle of a very complicated mess. It is ridiculous to be helping the LIFG out after knowing they are part of al Qaeda.
The real question is: whose interest does 'US foreign policy' serve? Question: who benefits directly from Globalisation, and IMF/World Bank policies of austerity, privatisation and deregulation and open markets for foreign corporations?
ReplyDeleteThere are a few trillionairs in this world, and they are the major beneficiaries of US foreign policy. They *wanted* to invade Iraq, just as they wanted to invade Libya, Syria, Iran, Zimbabwe (20% of the world's know diamond reserves, in a global market where 90% of the world's diamond trade and mining is controlled by one corporation, Anglo-American De Beers).
You don't have to search long before the names Rothschild and Rockefeller show up.
The Rothschild flagship bank is deep in the privatisation business. In the 1880s, they colonized Southern Africa, through the British South Africa Company of Cecil John Rhodes. In the 1990s, they privatised the Zambian mining industry.
The Rothschilds literally own the Suez Canal, which is the throughway for oil from the Middle East into the Mediterranean. When the Egyptian government renationalized the Suez Canal, Israel's army marched through the Sinai Desert and literally seized the Suez Canal. This was known as 'The Suez Crisis'.
When any national US politician wants advice on foreign policy, they beeline straight to the Council on Foreign Relations. Who created the CFR - David Rockefeller.
On Al-Qaeda - they were created by the CIA/ISI (Pakistan). They worked for us fighting the Soviets in the 1980s, and Osama was found near a Pakistan Army military base in 2011. Did they really stop working for us in between? That's the question for the mainstream media to answer.
